CINQUE TERRE, ITALY

I recently took a stroll down travelers memory lane and dug up these photos from a 2008 trip to the Cinque Terre in Italy.  It has to be one of the most beautiful places I've ever been, and I think back on the weeks I spent there with a bit of a pinch-me-I-must-have-dreamed-it wonder.  The Cinque Terre is 5 small towns built into the hillside on the Italian Riviera, accessible only by a train or boat. They have everything I could ever want in a vacation spot- amazing people, incredible food and a beautiful, clean sea to swim in.  I went with a couple of friends, one of whom had spent summers there and had a community of locals who embraced him (and therefore me) as their own.  I remember drinking wine into the early hours with a table full of racuous Italians and wishing I could somehow freeze time, that I was in the middle of one of those moments in life where it's just so good you wonder if it coul possibly get any better.  Here's to daydreaming away a bit of your Thursday on some of your favorite travel memories.  xx- Sarah  {more after the jump}
